Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why aren't the LED rings turning on?
Check the power, ground, and RGB connections first. A loose connection can prevent the lights from working properly.
- • Do I need an RGB controller?
An RGB controller is optional but needed for full color control. Without one, the lights are limited to basic red, green, or blue illumination.
- • Why can I only get one color?
Check the RGB wiring and controller connection carefully. Without the proper controller, you cannot switch between all available colors.
- • Will these rings fit my 6.5-inch speakers?
They are designed for select Wet Sounds 6.5-inch speakers. Compatible models include REVO 6, XS, SW 65i, and SW 650.
- • Do I have to remove the speaker grille?
Yes, the grille needs to be removed during installation. This allows the acrylic ring and LED strip to be mounted correctly.
- • Why is one ring brighter than the other?
Check the power and ground connections for both rings. Uneven or loose wiring can cause different brightness levels.
- • Why are some colors not working?
Inspect the red, green, and blue wires for loose connections. Incorrect RGB wiring can cause certain colors to appear incorrectly or not at all.
- • How are the LED strips attached to the rings?
The LED strips use adhesive backing for mounting inside the acrylic rings. Make sure the surface is clean before applying them for better adhesion.
- • Why are the lights flickering?
Check the power, ground, and RGB connections for loose wires. Also inspect the connectors for an intermittent connection.
- • Can these lights be used on a boat?
Yes, they are designed for compatible Wet Sounds marine speakers. The kit is intended for marine audio installations and includes acrylic rings with RGB LED strips.
