High-Output Enclosure Design

JL Audio's patented High Output enclosure design combines impressive bass output with excellent sound quality. Its chamber-coupled port wraps around the interior of the enclosure and terminates just above the woofer, allowing the port output to work together with the woofer's direct output for powerful, high-performance bass.

Precision-Tuned Ported Performance

The enclosure is engineered specifically for the 12W7AE-3 subwoofer and optimized for its ported alignment. Extensive real-world listening helped refine the enclosure design for a balance of output and sound quality. The combination of the W7AE driver's high power handling and the enclosure's efficient design delivers an impactful bass experience.

Preloaded and Ready to Connect

The HO112R-W7AE comes loaded with one 12W7AE-3 subwoofer and is wired for connection through a five-way binding post terminal. Its 3-ohm nominal impedance should be matched with an amplifier that supports the connected load. The recessed mounting baffle provides some protection for the woofer, although a separate grille is not included.

Space-Saving Angled Design and Premium Finish

The angled-back enclosure fits closely against the rear seat to help preserve usable cargo space. Its dark gray, high-grade automotive carpet finish features a black carpeted woofer baffle and silver JL Audio embroidery on the top surface. The enclosure's shape also provides the surface area and port length required for the W7AE driver's intended performance.
